About our firm

We each bring more than 15 years of legal experience, and our backgrounds in human rights, disability, personal injury, and workplace law shape the thoughtful, practical approach we bring to every investigation.

We first met as colleagues at a workplace investigations firm, after years in legal practice. Over the next three years, including at  different firms, we came to realize that we shared not only a common approach to investigations, but also a genuine commitment to working with people in a wide range of environments and circumstances.

That shared approach led us to found Prisma Workplace Legal in 2026.

We approach difficult work with care, rigour, and a commitment to getting it right. We take a clear, process-focused approach to investigations and have earned our clients’ trust across a wide range of issues and organizations. We are committed to conducting thorough investigations that recognize the sensitivity of the matters involved, and producing comprehensive, defensible reports that help clients make informed decisions with confidence.

Hélène Bever

Founding Partner

Hélène is a bilingual (English/French) lawyer and workplace investigator who conducts independent investigations in both provincially and federally regulated environments. Her practice includes workplace and institutional investigations in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Hélène has extensive experience investigating sensitive and multi-layered allegations, including workplace harassment, sexual harassment, bullying, discrimination (including gender-based and racial discrimination), and breaches of organizational policies.

Prior to launching her career in investigations, Hélène practiced human rights law and spent several years at a major Ontario regulator, and prior to that she practiced civil and commercial litigation in Paris, France. Deeply committed to the francophone community in Ontario, Hélène is a member of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO), where she mentors francophone law students. She is also a member of the Ontario Bar Association and serves on its Official Languages Committee.

Hélène volunteers as Chair of the Board of a Toronto-based non-profit organization supporting francophone women and children who are survivors of domestic violence, reflecting her longstanding commitment to governance, community leadership, and access to justice. Hélène enjoys cooking for her family - drawing inspiration from her French roots and a family history in the restaurant industry - distance running, participating in a long-standing book club, and continuing to learn through her favourite history podcasts.
